Re: [N8VEM: 14632] Network - Using terminal server

Dylan,

On your home network, planning before programming. :-)
You can configure the TS100 server for a static or dynamic (DHCP) IP address on your home network.
You have a variety of router configurations depending on how you wish the server to be accessible from the Internet.

The serial connection between TS100 and N8VEM will likely need to be Avocent's "null modem" configuration -- and not straight through.
Most important steps, in setting terminal servers up to "host" serial based computers is ONE STEP at a TIME.
Patience is a virtue -- as the complexity increases quickly, based on what you desire to do.
Lastly, keep an activity log -- in case you forget what you did.
