Re: Power supply

A PC (ATX or AT) power supply has a single ground (but multiple wires
for it). Ground wires are normally black color.
You'll also need +5V - usually red wires on AT/ATX power supply.
If you'll be using a 5.25" floppy or a hard drive, you will also need
+12V - normally yellow wires.

To turn on an ATX power supply short green wire (/PS_ON) to the ground
- black wire. You can solder a switch between these wires...

As Andrew mentioned, some power supplies expect particular load on 5V
rails (and maybe on 12V too). And they won't turn on (or will be
turning off) if there is not enough load. I personally never
experienced this problem, but some people reported it. You can use an
old CD-ROM or hard drive to load the power supply.

I highly recommend measuring the voltage on the power supply outputs
before connecting your SBC to it.

Thanks,
Sergey
