Here in Sweden, they did the opposite: delivering mail on Saturday before
Christmas for the first time in 10 years or so. Regular mail delivery on
Saturdays was so long ago that I don't know without looking it up.
As for the increased overseas postage costs, most buyers should have an
understanding for that as it costs just as much to send items from e.g.
Europe to the USA as it now will cost to send from USA to Europe. The actual
prices will differ some depending on which European country you compare
with, but I'm not surprised if the postage costs go up. It leaves only Asia
and in particular China with near zero postage costs, which I'm not sure how
they finance but it is good for us importing stuff from there...
