Re: [N8VEM: 14705] Writing An Operating System

Hi Leonard,

I assume you are referring to the source code repository.  For RomWBW, it is maintained in a Subversion version control system.  There is a page on the Wiki focused on using the N8VEM Subversion repository.  It is found at http://n8vem-sbc.pbworks.com/w/browse/#view=ViewFolder&param=Using%20the%20Douglas%20Goodall%20Subversion%20Repository.  RomWBW is one of the projects in the Subversion repository.  Note that you will need to install, learn, and use Subversion client software to do this (if you are using a Windows machine, you would typically use TortoiseSVN as the Subversion client)

If you don't want to install and learn Subversion, you will find all of the current source code in the RomWBW distribution (RomWBW.zip) which is posted on the Wiki in the folder http://n8vem-sbc.pbworks.com/w/browse/#view=ViewFolder&param=RomWBW.

I suggest that the first thing you want to do is download the RomWBW distribution.  Extract it on your system.  Then review the Build.txt file in the docs directory.  Start by making sure you can successfully build a copy of the system.  From there, you can try making changes.

Thanks,

Wayne

Can you (or someone else) give the path to the build tree/ zip file you mention? I found the subversion server.

Probably several of us would like to poke around with the software. Some guidance would very appreciated.

Thank you!
