Wayne, from a brief look at the data sheets, the
FDC9268 is capable of quad density operation, and requires a 16MHz
clock.
The FDC9268 and FDC9266 appear to be pin
compatible.

I noticed you mentioned an FDC9268 chip in another post. I was not
aware of this chip. I guess it is pin compatible with the FDC9266 I am
currently using in Zeta and DiskIO, but just needs a faster clock? Is it
better than the FDC9266 in any way? Wondering if I should consider
swapping my 9266's for 9268's...
