According to the datasheet note #3, the finish. -4's are black, -5's are grey.

& FYI, Digikey still has 14,000+ of the '90s stock as well.

     AMP 535090-5    (Jameco 851649, obsolete, still available 5 weeks ARO)

looks like it is replaced by:

     AMP 5535043-5   (Jameco 1974464)
     AMP 5535043-4   (Jameco 1974456)
*** I don't know the difference between these two.
