Perhaps the importance of being mentioned on Wikipedia is slightly
exaggerated? After all, certain search engines like Microsoft Bing tends to
avoid Wikipedia hits like the plague, while the market leader Google greatly
promotes said links. It makes me think which importance Wikipedia will play
in the near and distant future, in particular if there are more and more
conflicts of interests about what the site should contain and how it should
be presented.
That isn't to say the struggle should end, but we should take our time to
have some computer journalists writing for major press to obtain some
interesting in DIY and single board computing. Once that happens and there
is a meaningful review or feature article, we will have one more of those
significant references that Wikipedia editors seem to blindly prioritize.
