I have decided that I should sell my IBM-PC/AT (one of two I have).
It has been lovingly restored as I will explain. Because the community members appreciate
vintage technology, I am mentioning it here before I try Craig's List or eBay.
It is a 512KB RAM AT. There is an MFM hard drive installed but not plugged in. The hard disk
subsystem has been upgraded to a SCSI I using an Adaptec 1542C controller attached to a 512MB
SCSI hard drive and an internal CD-ROM drive as well.
The conventional RAM has been upgraded from 512KB to 640KB, and a parallel / serial port added
in the form of a combination board. Additionally, two RAMPAGE/AT boards are installed, one of which
is configured to provide 2MB of paged memory, and another configured to provide 2MB of extended
memory, usable when the 286 is in protected mode (DOS extenders...)
It has a 1.2MB 5-1/4" floppy drive. Also installed is a Paradise EGA/VGA video card which allows the
machine to be attached to a normal VGA, analog or flat panel.
After all these enhancements, there are still two 8-bit slots open.
It currently has Microsoft MS-DOS 6.00 installed as well as some freely available DRI language tools.
Also attached is a Syquest 1GB removable cartridge drive that is attached via the parallel port. Great
for backing up the contents of the hard disk, or used as additional fast and persistent storage.

I also have another AT, with an IBM display, and an HP thermal printer (and liberal supply of paper)
attached via the installed instrument buss card and cable.
