Hi William,
I'm not familiar with the particular rom image you are using. Are you able to post a screen shot of the boot up?
I'm guessing here but you are probably at the point where the EPROM is switched out and execution continues from RAM. It might be good to check the jumper setting around the EPROM and RAM chips to ensure that they are being addressed correctly.
What size EPROM are you using?
Does the system first come up int the debugger?
Cheers!
Max

Just to add to this, I have doublechecked my solder points by eye and I don't see anything jumping out at me. Since I am getting some intro text "N8VEM Single Board Computer 32K-1M Eprom and Permanent RAM...all the way to Loading CPM..." it seems to be at least partially initializing the system from the eprom.
Has anyone seen this behavior before or have an understanding of what a break in the startup process at that point would indicate? Would it be a RAM issue?
Sorry for all the questions, but my troubleshooting skills are limited. I don't have a scope. I feel like I am very close to getting this to work, but don't really know where to focus my troubleshooting efforts.
Thanks for any suggestions!
