Hello David,

I think that is intentional to make the signal TTL compatible??

Hello All,

I've just started playing around with the SD card and found a
potentially nasty problem with the interface (pun
intended).

The Data Out line from the SD card is pulled up to 5v via PU4.7k-H to
pin 9 of U4C.
According to the specs and the original SBC interface it should be
only 3.3v.
I have put my card in and powered up a few times before noticing this
fault.  So far it has survived.
The cure is to cut the track to PU4k7-H.  There is already a 10k
pullup to 3.3v in RR3.

Now back to getting the driver working.

Regards

David
