RE: [N8VEM: 5601] 6809 bus design



Hi Bill!  I would very much like to do this but how do we have both the Z80
SBC and the 6809 on the ECB as "bus masters" at the same time?  I think it
would require a redesign of the 6809 computer and maybe the Z80 SBC too.

I think the "host processor" approach works for multiprocessing however it
is *far* from an optimum solution.  Basically the Z80 is reduced to an IO
processor for the 6809.  I recall some builders were working on 8088 style
SBCs and I am hoping some new ideas will come out as to how to allow
multiple SBCs to have control of the ECB.
