Greetings fellow retrobrewers,

With the thanks of a couple threads in the forum, John Coffman, Will Sowerbutts and Richard Cini, the KISS 68030 is a success.

I'm planning some more tweaks that another user, denis2342, mentioned in another thread with 74FCT and 47ALS parts.

There is a gallery I've put together that others can view. I'm using linux 4.5.7 with a gcc 4.5.0 cross toolchain and it is working well.

Future add-ons include another MF_PIC for a second IDE and the USB-FIFO board.

It was such great excitement to see the terminal light up with BIOS info and all. At first, I thought it wasn't too well, but the power supply couldn't keep up with the demand to feed the almost 2A it needs. Bench supply came to the rescue!

Here is a link to the gallery.

Also, if anyone is needing a supply of 74F195/74F195A's, I'll have a supply of them in a week or so (United States).

Sincerely,

William

You feel a whole lot more like you do now than you did when you used to.
