Another dead project basically fully complete waiting for a new owner. I have all the files for hardware and I think the software for the S-100 floppy controller (WD2793) would require only minimal modification to work. WD2793 is not 765 compatible and in this case its a good thing. The WD2793 can perform "raw track reads" which the 765 cannot. Highly advantageous when identifying unknown disks. Much more powerful than a 765 derivative. Not quite as powerful as a Catweasel, kyroflux, etc. transition counter but a lot better than 765 compatible.

So if anyone wants to resurrect the USB2FDC project just contact me and I'll set you up. Yes, you could redo this project with an MCU and it would be fairly simple from a hardware standpoint but the software would be a significant undertaking and you'd be starting from step 1, i.e. clean sheet of paper. That's OK with me too
