Hi
Does anyone have or know where to get a KiCAD symbol library for the 74ls260? It is a dual 5 input NOR gate. Unfortunately it does not appear to be supported in KiCAD and after some searching around on Google doesn't appear to be available.

Jameco and Futurlec sell the part but no part libraries. The closest I've seen in KiCAD is CMOS 4072 (dual 4 input OR) but that's not useful in this application.

Thanks, Andrew Lynch

You can use Quick KICAD Library Component Builder to build simple symbol libraries for components, like so
/forum/index.php?t=getfile&id=2038&private=0
The downside is that it isn't possible to do more advanced things, like "Unit A" / "Unit B" which would be appropriate for a 74LS260, for example.
I've included the 74ls260.lib I generated, in case it is of use. The .lib is just a text file. Symbols and symbol libraries can also be created in KiCAD, using the symbol editor.
