Hi All,
Wanted to share with you one of my boards:
http://z20x.computer

It is a simple eZ80-based system.

What software ecosystem does this support? Is there a port of CP/M, or just a monitor?

This is very interesting.
I was tempted to try an eZ80 too, but the price of those MCU seemed too high to me... (I mean for less I can get a FPGA and have more fun...).
An other aspect is the need to buy a custom cable/programmer (not easy to find and overpriced too).

Probably I already have so much "toys" around that I'm not committed to try it...

BTW: About SW, what kind of IDE are you using?

I agree that I don't appreciate the need to buy a custom cable / programmer but I already have a Zilog Smart Cable that came with my eZ80 development system. Once a basic monitor or system has been programmed into the embedded flash there shouldn't be a need for this cable unless debugging with ZDS.

FYI: I've been working on a small encased eZ80 system similar to my Z180 systems. Current status is that it's been fully layed out and is going through the final double-checks before sending the PCB for fabrication.

Basic features:

eZ80F91 [AcclaimPlus!] at 50MHz with embedded flash, RAM and peripherals
- Hammond 1551K case (80x40x20mm or 3.15"x1.57"x.79")
- ZDI (debug) header
- USB for power plus two serial ports with RTS/CTS handshaking
- 512K to 4MB zero wait SRAM
- Optional 256 byte EEPROM with unique EUI address
- Optional 16MB flash "drive" with optional unique EUI address
- Micro SD card
- 10/100 Ethernet port
- Run / halt bicolour LED
- Two user programmable LEDs
- Rechargeable battery for the clock
