Having a few extra serial ports for my SBC6120 would be nice. And digital I/O would be interesting too. But the IOB6120 feels like way too much, as I have no need of the other features it provides.
Has anyone made a simpler I/O extension board for the SBC6120?

I've mostly been working on my S-100 stuff lately, but my thought was to make a board using the Cypress PSoC 5LP (actually another user gave me this idea) Prototyping Kit - http://www.cypress.com/documentation/development-kitsboards/ cy8ckit-059-psoc-5lp-prototyping-kit-onboard-programmer-and

Decode logic could be done in the PLD blocks on the PSoC, and then you have an entire 80 Mhz ARM core to play with, which should be plenty fast to do useful things given the minor cycle period of the HD6120 at T=2/freq.

This would avoid builders needing to deal with CPLD or FPGA programmers, since the kit plugs right into USB for programming.
