Hello to all on the forum.

I'm a new member from the UK. I'm an old 'un who has worked in embedded/DSP, now retired and reliving my youth Smile

I have a number of projects that may be of interest to people here and I am very happy to share what I've done.

My main hobby interests have revolved around the SC/MP microprocessor, more recently, emulating this micro on PIC microcontrollers.

I have also built a couple of Z80 machines (this micro being the subject of my final year project at uni).

I have built a micro-less computer out of 25 HCMOS chips, using a bucket brigade device as main memory (a tribute to the Kenbak-1 computer).

I have also made a couple of PIC-based peripherals: an emulator for a speech synth chip, and a plain text serial interface for a SiPix pocket printer.

If any of these projects rouse any interest I'll willingly post details on this forum.

Be gentle with me Smile

Hi,
welcome in the forum. As I read, you have used the SC/MP-Microprocesor. I've build a small system in 1978 when it was published in the electronic magazine "Elektor". Very nice system but only hex keyboard, 1 KB RAM and 6 seven segment LED displays, mass storage was a tape recorder (via a freq-keying interface)... I have the long lasting idea eventually to build a small system with its big brother the INS8073, using a FPGA core-board for all other logic/functionality that might be needed (as a history meet's future project...Wink.

cheers
Kurt
